There are some fun ways to mess around with Google in this little book, which can be downloaded for free.
Colbert says the US are legally co-champions of the soccer World Cup…
Google just released SketchUp, a free 3D modeling program. I have no idea yet what I could use this for, but somehow it looks pretty cool. I think I’ll play around with it a little bit and maybe build my dream house…
The NY Times launched a redesigned website a few days ago. Most of the changes are relatively subtle, but I like to overall new look a lot. And there are a couple of neat new features, such as the “Most Popular” section. Nice.
Here’s a nice little time waster for your lunch break… Bunny Hunt let’s you shoot Easter bunnies. Poor things.
Seems like almost every day, Google comes out with new features. Try a search for “homes for sale” and you get two fields where you can enter a city or zip code plus the desired listing type (“for sale” etc.). This then takes you to a page with a Google map showing listings and more [...]

This is really just a repackaging of otherwise free and readily available software (I already have most of the programs on my computer), but it’s a nice bundle of software essentials [...]
Lots of talk online about a relatively new and very serious vulnerability in Microsoft Windows, called the WMF Exploit. This is a really nasty exploit, as you do not even have to click on anything – simply viewing an image in an email, in a folder on your computer, or on a website can get [...]
I just came across Retrievr, which is a fun little application based on Flickr. It’s really just a gimmick, but it is kinda fun to play around with. You can draw something, and it will show images retrieved from Flickr that are similar to your drawing. It’s not always very accurate, but hey… I drew [...]
