It’s Vacation Planning Time…

Food, Wine & Good Company

( Food andPhotography )

This image is nothing special from a photography standpoint, but I like it for a simple reason: it combines three elements that to me can make any day a special day: good food, good wine, and, most importantly, good company. When the flavors of fresh ingredients combine with the complex aromas of a good wine, [...]

Monsoon Season

My trip to Thailand was right in the middle of monsoon season, so in addition to many hot, sunny days there were a few days with some pretty amazing and dramatic weather – usually announced by clouds like these. I love a nice, heavy, tropical rain on a hot day, everything just seems so lush [...]

Interpretations

I was looking through some pictures from my recent vacation in Cancun and decided to give a different twist to a fairly basic shot of the Kukulkan pyramid in Chichen Itza. This is, obviously, not a “literal” interpretation of the scene… but it resonates with what I felt when I saw the pyramid in person. [...]

This and That

I’ve been very busy, and all over the world as usual… went on vacation to Cancun, which was fantastic – had an incredible time with amazing friends. After that went to Budapest, Norway, Denmark… so I’m racking up the frequent flyer miles :) Here’s a somewhat interesting sunrise shot at the beach in Cancun… has [...]

Clouds & Sea

A cloudy day can yield very interesting pictures… When I saw this dramatic contrast between the clouds and sea, I knew it would make an interesting monochrome photo. I like how it turned out :)

St. Ives

Just got back from a trip to Spain and a brief mini-vacation in St. Ives, Cornwall. I am utterly in love with St. Ives, what a fascinating and charming little spot… I really hope to go back some day. A cute little seaside town with great weather, friendly people, beautiful beaches and vegetation, amazing views, [...]

I took this at an aquarium… wouldn’t want to get too close to a toxic beauty like this in real life :) click for full size
