Back from spending a week with my family… being with them makes me happier than anything else possibly could. Now it’s back to the grind…
Settling back in after my London trip… laundry, catching up on work, catching up with friends, oil change, helping a friend write a business proposal, errands… The weekend was too short as usual. Will continue posting some Bali pics soon, there are so many shots I really love :)
Woohoo, I finally upgraded my WordPress installation! This wasn’t exactly rocket science, but it wasn’t trivial either. At least I don’t think my grandma could have done it :) After running some SQL database commands to batch delete all spam comments (what a pain), I went through WordPress’ upgrade process. Of course, only after backing [...]
… I will actually get around to cleaning up my blog, installing the latest version of WordPress, deleting all the spam comments, installing a new and effective Captcha, etc. And once that is done, I’ll start blogging again :)
Been shopping for Christmas gifts for the last 7 days or so. It’s ridiculous how much money I’ve spent already. But hey, money seems so trivial when you can make your loved ones happy no? I am such a sucker for this whole Holiday season, regardless of all the commercialization and the stress that this [...]
Wow has it really been over a month and a half since I last spent some quality time surfing the web? I guess that goes to show how busy a fall this has been. Just got back from Europe, and still feeling a little jet lagged. I’ll have to do some blog maintenance in the [...]
Alright, I’m on a mission. My goal is the 2008 Los Angeles Marathon. I’ve got about six and a half months to get in shape. I’ve never run a marathon before, and something tells me I might regret this…. 26 miles of non-stop running? Right now 6 miles seems like a lot…. But in a [...]
That Tanqueray Rangpur looks delicious… yum. It’s been out for a while now, but I haven’t had the pleasure. Gotta give it a try sometime soon.
Spent another fun weekend in Sin City… As usual, sleep was a very scarce commodity. And as usual, club Tao didn’t disappoint. You know you had fun when it’s daylight by the time you leave…
It’s a cruel world. My favorite coffee shop is going out of business. It’s a great little place, an independent store with a lot of character that’s a refreshing alternative to Starbucks and the like. It’s literally within walking distance from my home, and offers free wireless internet. They have great people, good music, chess [...]
Hmmm there seems to be no such thing as “going to the store to get some milk”… at least for me. Anytime I try to do that, I end up with at least $100 in groceries… Guess I shouldn’t buy groceries when I’m hungry.
Had a nice and relaxed Easter weekend with friends… I treated myself to a new fairway wood, TaylorMade’s fantastic V Steel 15 degree 3 wood. I had a chance to enjoy it out on the gorgeous Oak Quarry golf club in Riverside. The course has lots of spectacular holes set among huge walls of granite, [...]
Man the last few weeks have been busy… Been all over the place, and it feels like today is the first day I kinda slowed down – due to a flu that kept me in bed most of the day. I hate being sick.
I have a love affair with chillies and anything spicy, so stuff like this “Ghost Chili” gets me excited… 1,001,304 Scoville Heat Units! That’s about one hundred times as hot as your average Jalapeno. I wonder how big a piece of this chili one could comfortably eat?
I just left Nuremberg. It’s always impressive to be in places were history was made, and there sure was plenty of history made in this city – such as the Nuremberg Trials after World War II, for example.
