OK, I surrender.
I tried, I really did. I have a wide assortment of chili sauces at home and generally love to eat very hot food. So some time last year, I came across a sauce called Dave’s Ultimate Insanity Sauce and thought I’d add it to my collection. Let me tell you, that sauce is pure evil. The first time I used it, I applied it as generously as I usually do with all my other chili sauces. Big mistake. About 5 seconds after I bit into a sandwich with some of this stuff on it, I was jumping around my living room, drinking milk and stuffing bread into my mouth in a fruitless attempt to stop the pain. This stuff must be made by the devil himself.
After that experience, I put the bottle in the refrigerator, from where it looked at me with an evil grin every time I opened the fridge. Some time later, I gave it another shot and added one drop to a bowl of soup. Let me tell you, that was some of the hottest soup I ever had. One drop in a whole bowl of soup. Insane indeed.
So I have decided to toss the sauce, I just can’t enjoy it. There is really no taste to it, just a crazy burning sensation. Oh, in case you were wondering, it has a rating of 90,000 on the Scoville Scale. Tabaso sauce has a rating of 2,500 to 5,000.
